Friendship Central Child Development (FCCD) provides a program of learning activities for children ages 2 to 4.
The program operates half day, from 9:00 am-12:00 pm.
Friendship Central Child Development’s mission is to emphasize Christian principles and teachings as children interact and participate in activities centered on living and learning. We facilitate children’s spiritual, intellectual, physical, emotional, and social growth by providing a creative and nurturing environment led by skilled and creative teachers. Our program incorporates a Biblical curriculum and purposeful play to enhance each lesson. We foster a sense of community by encouraging interaction among parents, students, preschool staff, and local community organizations.
Our philosophy is based on recognizing that early childhood experiences should occur in an environment of love and support. As a ministry of Central United Methodist Church, our preschool provides a loving and compassionate environment for children and their families that focuses on the whole child’s development. Friendship Child Development Center is a vital ministry of Central United Methodist Church.
Our two-year-old class meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. As we strive to nurture each child, our preschool staff encourages the class to be kind, loving, and patient with those around them. Our morning is filled with play, art, music, and seasonal activities.
The three-year-old class meets on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. We provide early learning experiences that foster developmental growth. In this class, we introduce letters, numbers, shapes, and colors while learning about the world around us through circle time, art, music, and seasonal activities.
The four-year-old class meets Monday through Friday from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. While in the four-year-old class, children will communicate with peers and engage in interactive play and group activities. Our preschool staff helps prepare each child for kindergarten through phonics, letter recognition, writing, circle time, music, art, and technology. They will also enjoy “off-grounds” field trips to enhance their studies and learning experiences.
