Below you will find ways to join us in service to our community, the world, and to each other.
"In the same way, though there are many of us, we are one body in Christ, and individually we belong to each other.” ~ Romans 12:5
All ages came together for a time of packing vegetable seeds for folks in the developing world! Through Hope Seeds, we packed our all-time record of 3100 bags of seeds! Afterwards we enjoyed a time of fellowship with S'mores and Hot Chocolate.
Hope Seeds is a Christian, charitable ministry that seeks to bring the love of Christ and improve the nutrition of the poorest in the world by providing quality garden seed, agricultural education and the Message of Hope through Christian missionaries and organizations.
We accept donations of gently used furniture and offer a "store" for those in our community to come "shop" for needed items for their home for free.
Our backpack ministry serves families in need at East Albemarle Elementary School. At the end of each week, bags full of food are sent home to provide meals over the weekend. Along with three other churches, Central provides bags to about 45 children once a month. Most children would have little to nothing to eat until they go back to school on Monday. With the ongoing giving support of our congregation and people like yourself, we are able to feed a child and others in the family. Please keep this ministry in prayer. Each week when you go to the grocery store, make it a habit of picking up one or two needed items from the list below. This is also a great way to minister as as family to show your children the joy in serving and giving. Please bring your items to the church office during business hours.
