Joe Judge

Joseph Judge has served as the Minister of Music at Central since January 2014. His responsibilities include worship planning, Directing the Chancel Choir, and the Chancel Handbell Choir.

 

Joe has served for nearly 40 years in Music Ministry in a variety of churches and denominations. Besides a passion for music, Joe is passionate about meaningful and relevant services of worship. Joe has done post-graduate work at the Webber Institute for Worship Studies, where he rekindled a personal desire to reclaim the Arts for the Church through worship.

 

In addition to teaching a variety of music courses as Director of Choral Activities and Assistant Professor of music at Pfeiffer University, Joe serves as the primary Faculty member for the BA in Sacred Music degree teaching courses including Worship, Music and Worship, and Worship Arts in the 21st Century. Prior to teaching at Pfeiffer, Joe served Full-time as Director of Music and Worship Arts at Matthews United Methodist Church in Matthews, NC.  

 

As Musical Director for the Piedmont Choral Society of Concord, Judge conducts the 80 voice Chorus in two major concerts a season with orchestra.

 

Joe is proud of his wife, Tonya, their family, Amanda, Colton, Benjamin, and Samuel, and “Grands” Palmer and Brooks. The Judges reside in the Town of New London, NC.
